Starts Coordinator


To prepare start packages for new contracts while supporting the Production and Purchasing departments and operations staff with assigned projects and tasks. This position will also provide administrative and clerical support to the division management team as requested.


Duties and Responsibilities

? Establish ?Start Package ?for Construction Starts?

? Administer Start Packages- Spec to Sales package

o ?Consolidated Options Order Form (COOF)/Cut Sheets/Selection sheets

o ?Post to Buildpro & maintain in file

o ?Change Orders

? Perform data entry of start information into applicable databases

o ?Dan Ryan Builders Proprietary systems (Sales 1440/BuildPro/NewStar/G3)

o ?Newstar (Purchase Orders, contract, accounting)

o ?Spreadsheets and Files maintained in Microsoft Office applications

? (Word, Excel Powerpoint)

? Copy and distribute information as required for permit and start packages

? Administer purchase orders for external vendors

? Maintain accurate system and office files

? Other duties as apparent or assigned


Knowledge and Skills

? Microsoft Office Suite experience

? Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with external customers to discuss utility, subcontractor & supplier issues to include addressing issues with purchase orders, job schedules etc.

? Detail oriented?and organized

? Strong multi-tasking skills

? Ability to work in fast paced environment

? Problem and research skills

? Must have valid driver?s license

Education and Work Experience

? High School Diploma or GED with work experience

? 1-3 years prior administrative/office managerial experience

? Exposure to residential homebuilding environment preferred

? Data entry and file management experience

? Previous homebuilding experience preferred

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
