Energy Technician II

Job Description Summary


The Energy Technician II will act as a local on-site program and company representative to residential customers. Install energy efficient equipment, conduct pre- and post-installation verification's and other technical data gathering activities through a defined territory. Support program staff and clients in their efforts to influence stakeholders, to sell and/or install energy efficiency retrofits, or new construction. Provides technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, and recommends solutions.


Key Responsibilities:




  • Conduct installation of residential energy efficiency upgrades


  • Record and report to program staff customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements


  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, regarding installation in accordance with client specifications


  • Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.


  • Travel throughout a defined territory.

Job Description




  • 6 months -1 Years experience with relevant industry technical¬ certification/training preferred


  • Minimum education requirements - High School Diploma or GED required





Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
