Clinical Lab Director

PerkinElmer Genomics is seeking a Clinical Allergy/Immunology director to join our diverse team of laboratory geneticists and genetic counselors at the PerkinElmer Genomics Laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA.  PerkinElmer Genomics is a state-of-the-art facility providing testing in the areas of food intolerance, allergy, biochemical genetics and genomics.  The department performs various tests including newborn screening, lysosomal enzyme analyses, and provides testing services for clinical trials and pharmaceuticals projects.  Experienced ABAI certified laboratory directors are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities: Review, interpret, and report patient results reliably, accurately, and with integrity Oversee the new metabolomics department and be responsible for all aspects of R&D , QA/QC , test implementation and clinical reporting Provide technical and strategic guidance for the biochemical genetics department and interact collaboratively with teams across the organization, including research and development, marketing, and other clinical disciplines. Make clinical decisions, effectively communicate genetic information related to test results, and provide clinical consultations to health care professionals Provide oversight for quality control and quality assurance as appropriate, including setting quality standards for new tests and procedures and participating in proficiency testing Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations and maintain familiarity with company SOPs and practices and applicable professional guidelines and assure that the laboratory is in compliance Analyze data for presentation or publication, review scientific literature and attend scientific meetings Requirements Required Qualifications: PhD or MD with relevant allergy and immunology experience American Board of Allergy and Immunology (ABAI) Certification Minimum 2 years' experience as a Laboratory Director in an allergy/immunology setting Key skills: Ability to effectively manage individuals and teams Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and be meticulous Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic setting Understanding of principles of quality control and assurance Experience with mass spectrometry technologies and result interpretation JR-006801

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
