Vice President of Operations - Central/East Region

What you will accomplish Provide overall leadership and management of the regional operations. Develop strong management teams in each office in the region. Serve on the Senior Operations Leadership team, and help develop and implement regional and company-wide strategic initiatives. Be responsible for financial performance and manage the profit and loss statement for the CENTRAL/EAST region. Develop and oversee market growth strategies and business development. Recruit, train and mentor employees; manage personnel issues. Ensure superior client service and that all projects achieve quality, schedule, and budget objectives; and interact with CENTRAL/EAST region's largest clients and highest growth potential clientele. Supervise the safety program and lead a safety culture in the region. Prepare the annual Business Plan and assist with achieving SWCA's company-wide financial business development goals and objectives. Work closely with the other Vice Presidents, COO, Principals, and Directors throughout the company to promote SWCA's business interests; develop new work and clients; and foster our mission, vision, and values. Assist the CEO, COO, and Vice President of Business Development with building relationships with select acquisition targets; and support the COO and CFO with integration of CENTRAL/EAST. Build SWCA's professional reputation within the region and work collaboratively with other leaders throughout the company. Take initiative, resolve problems, and create and improve procedures to assure effective and smooth operation of the offices and provide QA/QC oversight. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the COO. Experience and qualifications for success Bachelor's degree in Business, Environmental Studies, Planning, Biology, Ecology, Archaeology, Anthropology, Engineering, Management or related field required; Graduate degree strongly preferred. Management and leadership experience and skills, including the ability to grow the region by developing and implementing effective business development strategies and management of other professionals. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in natural or cultural resource consulting, planning, science, or a related field; exceptions to this item may be possible depending on other qualities the individual possesses. Minimum of five (5) years of experience at increasing levels of responsibility in management, including supervising and providing leadership for other professionals. Demonstrated business acumen and successful operations leadership. Demonstrated performance and achievement in business development and leading successful market growth strategies. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills. Sensitivity to and respect for our diverse workforce and culture. Must live in or be willing to relocate to one of the regional office locations.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
